by static416This was the setup for a product shoot I did for my parents company. This was the third time I've tried this and the results were definitely the best so far, and pretty good. Part of the challenge is that the products are transparent and/or white, so resolving detail is difficult. That probably could have been helped by shooting against a dark background, but you don't really think strong dark colors when you think of medical products.

Part of what made this work so much better this time was the extended TTL cable and a second 580EX flash. Previously I tried to do it with a single flash that I tried to partially bounce off a handheld white reflector, but that proved to be inconsistent and still produced shadows.

by static416I'd prefer it be a little lighter, and a little better defined, but I'm reaching the edge of my knowledge on the subject. In the end I wouldn't say the result was 100% perfect, but I'm still pretty happy with it.
