Vintage Slide Scans

I scanned a few of my mom's slides from '73-'74, they turned out pretty well. This is her at 29.

I'm not completely certain, but I think this is her dog Sasha. She died shortly after giving birth to a litter of puppies and my mom had to bottle feed all of them every two hours, sleeping on the kitchen floor next to them in intervals.

This was one of series of shots at a dog show. I don't know who this is, but I chose this one because this guy is awesome. He would fit in, as is, beard, hair and all, in any bar near Ossington and Queen.

That is an awesome van. I would drive that to work every day.

My mom's husband at the time was pretty big into nature photography, there are a lot of macro plant shots, but at $6 a scan I kept them to a minimum.

Wish I knew the camera and lens used to take these shots, that's a pretty impressively narrow depth of field.

This is '74. I think that is a '59 Massey Ferguson. Whatever year it is, it is still being used to blow snow from our driveway in the winter, and used to carry kids around on hay-rides during the fall. It's been restored and repainted by my father a couple times over and it's still as good as ever.

My mom and her mom. The giant novelty watch on the wall is still in my brothers old bedroom at my parents house. For some reason he really took to it when we were kids.

And can I just say, my grandma's dress is strangely reminiscent of WW1 dazzle camouflage they use on battleships to obscure their shape. Love you grandma, just sayin'.

Many of slides were of Christmas. That is one awesome tree. Flanked by an equally awesome haircut on the woman to the left. Once again, any of these men would be perfectly at home in Queen West.

Another Christmas shot. The guy with the long dark hippy hair is Zack, who is now the director of a medical research park in Hamilton, and married with two children.

My mom on Point Pelee.

There are tons more, but at $6 a scan I couldn't afford to do all 240. I'll post more if I can get them scanned.
