Received my flash in the mail yesterday. I also got a 1ft TTL cable, which I immediately lengthened by splicing in RJ45 connectors and using a LAN cable to extend it.

Of course now I look like an even more gigantic dork than usual, walking around at midnight with a giant 580EX attached to my DSLR, pockets bulging with lenses, and carrying 45' of CAT5 cable.

Above is the first shot with this setup and it worked pretty well. Admittedly I'm still not completely familiar with all the settings on the flash, it's a pretty complicated little piece of electronics. But from what I've read online and in the manual I've got a good starting point, and have quite a few ideas of things I can try with it.
