Toby on a log - 12/365

by static416

I took over 140 photos of this guy yesterday, and this was the only one I was able to salvage. For some reason, every time he sees you holding the camera he turns and starts running towards you at maximum puppy-velocity, and doesn't stop until the tackle is completed.

I have dozens of photos of a blond blur surrounding a black nose about to impact the camera and the photographer behind it.

I only got this one because he happened to be stuck on a log in the stream at the time and couldn't get off easily. Course that only temporarily slowed him down, and added mud and water to the imminent full-body-contact hello.

He's pretty cute. He's very affectionate and sort of acts like a lapdog, trying to sit on you all the time. Of course he's now 40 pounds, going for 90, so it's becoming a problem.

He is so cute - glad you got something out of the 140 - I can relate, my dogs aren't puppies but, they are still hard to photograph! You did a great job!
