Photos of the Week - Week 6

What's with all the random storms?

It's getting to the point that you cannot even go outside for more than 20 minutes without fear of being subjected to a torrential downpour. Standing on my balcony I was looking out on a beautiful day and thought "Hey, I'll go for a walk".

In the time it took me to put on my shoes and get downstairs it had somehow begun raining extremely hard. I hid my in car, then decided to turn the 'walk' into a 'drive'.

5 minutes and 1.8 km later I was at Menagerie Pet Shop and stepping out into sunshine again. Weird weather. Back in my day weather was consistent!

The owners giant dog was wandering around looking for attention.

I always check out the saltwater fish section. I used to be heavily into marine aquaria, it was an addiction that literally sucked my money down the toilet for a period of about 2 years.

I was also unable to leave the house for more than about 12 hours at a time because there would some tank that needed refilling, or fish that needed it's special food. But in the end I only got rid of the tanks for space reasons, I still plan on getting back into it when I have enough money to do it right.

Saturday night I walked around the eastern extreme of Harbourfront playing with my camera.

I tried taking a bunch of long exposure shots of traffic, but only a couple turned out well.

This shot was taken as a street sweeper went by.

I may take some more shots over the next day and a half, and add a second post. Or I may just play XBOX, read, and entertain my kitten.

like the pics. Impressed with the close up of the dog - did you have a good zoom on your camera or were you just really close and prepared to suffer for your art if he turned out to be not so keen on your lense up his nose?

Hehe, yeah I was about 5 inches from his nose with a wide angle lens. Thankfully, he's a nice dog.
