Fortune cookies need improvement

I like fortune cookies. They are tasty surprises.

There is a problem though. I always thought that fortune cookies don't really make an effort to give a fortune you could consider plausible. The fortune cookie industry has stacked the fortunes to be almost entirely positive.

In order to increase the believability of the fortune that fate has delivered to you, they should really include negative fortunes with the positive ones. Even out the odds.

Right now fortune cookies usually just blow sunshine up your ass, and the worst you could hope for is something that is weird because it didn't translate well from Mandarin to English.

I want to mix a range of negative ones in there. Everything from, "You will drop your ice cream cone", to "You look ugly today", to "You will get hit by a bus". If there were perhaps 25% bad ones, it would increase the credibility of the good ones. After all, life isn't all rainbows and kittens, it's a mix, and Big Fortune Cookie should change their product to reflect that if they want to remain relevant in today's cynical world.
