MOO Rocks - I'm going to spam people with my contact card
Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 9:33PM
In a moment of unusually high arrogance (even for me) I decided that I meet enough new people that I needed personalized cards with my contact info. So after searching around online, I decided to buy myself some mini cards from MOO.
So I've never ordered anything from these guys before but I was looking for a contact card that was unique, and less dorky/pretentious than a traditional business card.
This UK company produces, among other things, customized mini cards which measure about 3cm x 7cm. On one side you can either pick from their professional designs, upload you own images, or pick images from your Flickr account like I did. On the back side you are given room for up to 6 lines of text of your choosing. After going through their simple ordering process I decided on 100 cards for $20 USD, which show 10 different photos from my Flickr account.
After almost 2 weeks I got the cards today. And they are really cool.

The matte finish feels very nice, and they are smaller than I expected. They come in a simple plastic container, held closed by a cardboard sleeve.
Overall I'm impressed with both the website and the quality of the product and packaging. So if you think you're as cool as me (hint: you're cooler) and you can afford to wait two weeks, these are way better than anything a local copy place could produce.
As a warning, the next 100 people that talk to me are getting at least one of these.
